Are these specs decent?

My last attempt at ordering a laptop almost went through with some help from this awesome site, but in the end I had to give up the order thanks to a little...accident...with the order...

So I'm on the hunt again, but I've forced myself to learn more this time and I think I actually found something decent myself! I'm basically looking for a gaming laptop, but I use that term loosely as I don't mind not going up all the way and plan on playing a few older games.

So here it is,

Is this decent? If not, why isn't it? Don't give me a new computer if it isn't, I want to learn this time. Thanks, you guys are awesome 😉

The specs are really pretty good (if you don't mind no 1080p screen and a slow-ish hdd). I've had a little experience with Toshiba laptops, and they're not my favorite. I find them to be a little unstable and a bit jenky at times. Just my two cents.

Good luck!

If OP isn't too concerned about max settings, this card will still get decent fps on modern games on low/med settings, some with even high settings...http://www.notebookcheck.net/NVIDIA-GeForce-GT-740M.89900.0.html

Nice site! Yes, this is perfect in the graphics department, the only ones that fall bellow medium or are unplayable I wouldn't play anyways XD One final question, does no 1080p make a major difference, and what happens if I hook it up to a monitor? Will it matter then? (because I plan on using a HDTV if I want a big screen)

It will still look nice on the laptop, some people are just a little more picky about that kind of thing. It does have HDMI out, so you should be able to get 1080p on your TV.

Cheers!
