Hi all,

I am looking to buy a laptop soon. I don't have much budget and I'm not looking for high-end laptops.

1. What is your budget?
At most $600, I can stretch a bit more if necessary.

2. What is the size of the notebook that you are considering?
14 or 15 inch

3. What screen resolution do you want?
768p is fine for me

4. Do you need a portable or desktop replacement laptop?
I don't like bulky laptops, weight shouldn't be more than 5.5 lbs

5. How much battery life do you need?
Doesn't matter but at least 3+ hrs

6. Do you want to play games with your laptop? If so then please list the games that you want to with the settings that you want for these games. (Low,Medium or High)?
I do play games however my primary gaming system is console. But I have lots of PC games too in Steam. Few demanding games are: Company of Heroes Trilogy, Drakensang, Total War collection up to Empire/Napoleon, Elder Scrolls 4, GTA 4, Half Life 2, Neverwinter Nights 2 platinum, Civilization 5.
Medium or high-medium settings is good for me.

Apart from regular entertainment tasks, I use Photoshop & Lightroom.

I strongly encourage you to stretch your budget and get the Lenovo Y400.

The difference between it and anything below it is light years, both in terms of specs and build quality.

Thanks a lot. This looks like a good laptop.

Better go to the following link. The above link goes to Lenovo's beta site where you cannot configure a laptop.

Hmmm..... I would have thought Lenovo learned from their mistake last week and not make the beta site available for public viewing. Well at least it seems they set it up where you cannot use the beta site to make any purchases. I got a pretty good discount on a ThinkPad T530 laptop because they made a big screw up on their beta site last weekend. I was only browsing, but after dealing with customer service they quoted me an "equitable" price that thought was still in my favor so I decided to pull the trigger.
