Aspire 7551-7422 hangs often

Hello,
My aspire 7551-7422 freezes or hangs quite often when browsing(since that is what I do mostly). It does it in both IE and Firefox. It states : not responding. The cursor then spins in a circle, usually for 20-40 seconds and then comes back. What can be causing this? Memory problem? The machine isn't that old.
