Solved! Astire acer 5745 troubleshooting

Hello

Good day ! The display of my laptop has some problem . I cannot see any thing on the screen. Its pitch black. I was told by a local servicing dealer that the problem is due to backlight failure. I didnot underdstand that . When I show bright light on the screen , i can very lightly figure out the windows taskbar and buttons. The laptop is still with the servicing guys from last 2 months , with no solution yet . Kindly assist .

the way an LCD screen works, without a backlight as you have it now, the image is not illuminated and cannot be seen. The backlight is typically installed at the base of the screen. Typically it's either a fluorescent or LED light. It's a fairly cheap replacement
