Asus A7D laptop no screen no beeps

I found an Asus A7D laptop in my closet, the machine turns on, but i can only see the power light and i hear the cpu fan spinning. There's no HDD in the system. Why doesn't it work?

There is no hdd, so it have a SSD?
you found it in your closet? who put it there?

Nope, it doesn't have a drive at all. No hdd, no ssd. I put it there myself years ago. That's why it was there I think. Who wants a laptop that doesn't work ?

It doesn't work because it have no hdd nor ssd, no OS.

A normal laptop would show a logo or POST screen... this one doesn't.. the screen remains black and the cpu fan spins at full speed. External monitor doesn't work either.
