Try reseating the RAM or restoring it to the factory configuration. If the issue persists, you may have a corrupt Windows installation.

If the RAM sticks were truly at fault you would not see anything on the screen at all.

I was just going to ask the same question myself... He surely didn't pay that much for a New Laptop with only MB's of RAM...
