I'm going for the Asus myself for the ATI Direct X 11 ready chipset.

I agree. The Alienwares aren't as updated (at least yet) as the new Asus, so you might as well go with the g73. Plus, I believe it is cheaper.

ASUS for sure, unless you really, really must have the Alienware glow scheme.

AW M17x has 2 HD 4870Ms in it(has option for 1 too)and 2 HD 4870Ms beat 1 HD 5870M (which is in the ASUS model)but the ASUS model is significantly cheaper
