ASUS g750JS, is it a good buy?

Hey guys and girls, theres an asus g750Js for sale going for 1000 aud.
Im just wondering if anyone has any experience with these and whether or not it would be a good buy?
I don't know much about gaming laptops so any help would be appreciated, Thanks a lot!

Although the GTX 880m is an older nVidia GPU it is still decent. It's performance is comparable to a desktop nVidia GTX 950. That also means it's performance is between that of the GTX 965m and GTX 970m mobile GPUs.

Laptops sold in the Land Down Under generally seems to have a 30% - 35% price premium compared to laptops sold in the US.
Nice 'older' gaming laptop. Depends on the exact specs and condition. 1000 Aussie dollars is about 720 USD. paying 720USD in the US for that laptop sounds like a lot. I'd be thinking 550-600USD max. But I don't know if prices on used laptops in Australia are higher than here.

i7 4700hq
16GB RAM
Gtx880m
I don't know heaps about computer parts but from what I've read it all seems pretty high end? do you think the age of the computer might affect how well it works?
