Asus gaming lap wont turn on

My asus gaming laptop wont turn on via the power button. The built in steam button will but only for five seconds before shutting off. It has a non removable battery. All lights are functioning fine.

Yes I think he means G751J... I have the exact same problem with the same model. Brand new out of the box and haven't been able to turn it on once. Keyboard lights up for about 10 sec then shuts down. Screen stays black...

Sorry to hear that. I could be mistaken, but it seems to me they are having a lot more quality control problems with the G750/751 than they did with the older G74's and G75's (my last laptop). Maybe I made the right choice in buying MSI this time.
