ASUS K501LX Battery Issue

Hi there,

I bought an ASUS K501LX notebook back in October and it's been great. However, I recently ran into the problem where I cannot turn it on unless it is plugged in with the power cord. If I unplug the power cord then it will shut down immediately. The battery is not charging as well and is stuck at the same percentage. I am not sure what the issue is here and it is more difficult as the battery is built into the laptop.

Hi,

Definitely it's the battery that is faulty since it doesn't stay on if it's suppose to run on battery. Since it uses a built in battery you may need to check the inside of your laptop and check if the battery cable is connected properly in the motherboard. If everything is seated properly that means you'll need to contact Asus Support for a repair.
