asus laptop battery

I have an Asus laptop about 2 years old that will not stay on unless plugged in. The battery says its plugged in and charging and always at 93%, never any higher than that. When I unplug it, it turns off and wont turn back on unless I plug it back in. Do I need a new battery?

Hi, remove the battery, unplug the adapter, hold the power button for one minute. Reconnect everything, maybe the battery will calibrate itself.
