Asus laptop hard druve failing, need windows media recovery disk and do

I have an Asus laptop came with windows 8 & I upgraded to Windows 10 couple months ago now my hard drive is failing and they'r telling me that I need to have a windows media recovery disk which I don't have and can't locate.what other options do I have I don't want to spend close to $200 to get the problem fixed when I could get a new computer for 5 or 6 any ideas or help would be great

You reportedly will be able to reinstall Windows 10 after the upgrade on the same computer. The above link details how this works, and you won't need to spend any cash on this as Windows 10 auto-activates.

Thank you, but how do I get a copy Windows media recovery disk....once I have bad Geek Squad will install for me in a new hard drive but I just need to figure out how to get the disk

You can download Win 10 directly from Microsoft, and used for either a USB or DVD install.
