Asus laptop keeps freezing and I have to shut it down

I have a asus laptop that is about 4-5 yrs old and it started freezing up about a year or 2 ago and it has got worse. Sometimes when I type it will freeze up or sometimes when I move it or bump it it'll freeze up and lately it freezes up only after playing on it for about 15-30 mins.

Can someone tell me what might be wrong with it?

First thing to do is clean out the fans and heatsink and re-install it with new thermal paste. Reseat the hard drive also.
