Asus laptop shuts off randomly

I bought my Asus F556U laptop two months ago and Windows 10 is the operating system inside and it was auto updated 16th of this month. After that the computer shuts off randomly. The screen goes black and shuts off. It happened nearly 30 times yesterday. While charging it yesterday,it stopped charging at 37% for nearly one hour and again at 97%.
There's no heating at all and i use it on a proper surface. I am not a gamer or i don't have any kids also. The only thing i did by using this new laptop was watching several movies 🙁
Please help me to fix these problems.

You may want to try starting it in "Safe Mode" or "Safe Mode with Networking" and see if the problem stops. If it does then you probably have something unwanted on the computer. Virus, malware, bad program, etc.

How to enter "Safe Mode" when booting the computer.

In Windows 8 and 10...

As your computer restarts, press F8 (possibly a few times) to enter "Safe Mode"

a. Press the "F4" key to Enable "Safe Mode".
(The computer will then start in "Safe Mode" with a minimal set of drivers and services.)

b. Press the "F5" key to Enable "Safe Mode" with Networking.
( Once "Safe Mode" with Networking starts, Windows is in Safe Mode, with additional network and services for accessing the Internet and other computers on your network.)

c. Press the "F6" key to Enable "Safe Mode" with Command Prompt.
(In "Safe Mode" with "Command Prompt" starts Windows in Safe Mode, with a Command Prompt window instead of the Windows interface. This option is mostly only used by IT professionals.)

Now sign in to the computer with your account name and password. (If you have one set.) When you are finished troubleshooting, you can exit "Safe Mode" restarting your computer.


In Windows 7/Vista/XP...

1. Immediately after turning on the computer, or restarting it (usually after you hear your computer beep), tap the F8 key, repeatedly, in 1 second intervals.

2. The computer will then display hardware information and run a memory test.

3. Next the "Advanced Boot Options" menu will appear.

4. In the "Advanced Boot Options" menu use the arrow keys to select "Safe Mode" or "Safe Mode with Networking" and press ENTER.


If you are having these problems that soon after purchase, and going into a "Safe Mode" doesn't stop the issue, there may well be a problem with the laptop. If that is the case I would contact the manufacturer about a repair or replacement.

My Asus G751J laptop kept shutting down randomly and the other day it was happening a lot. It wasn't hot and the in built battery died ages ago so I have it plugged into the mains. I thought that was the problem that I needed a new battery. Then I decided to look at my NVIDIA updates in add remove. There was one for 3d which I didn't need so I deleted it and a couple of others just leaving GeForce experience and graphics driver. Its been 2 days now and my laptop hasn't shut down and my mouse works better too.
