Asus laptop stuck on the logo screen upon startup

Need help on this problem. I am not really a tech savvy person so any help will definitely be appreciated.
My laptop is an Asus laptop N43S. It uses windows 7. Intel core i5 2410M 2.3GHz . I'm sorry I don't know other information on my laptop.

can you get into the bios to see if the hard drive is seen correctly?

I don't know how to..it just stays into that logo screen then shuts down.

Press Alt+F2 or F2 to access the BIOS menu.

I did all of that but its still the same...I held the f2 key for nearly 10mins

Oh it seems that a screen appeared..it says aptio setup utility is that it?

Ok...I have no idea what happened but apparently a screen appeared saying "reboot and select proper boot device or insert boot media in selected boot device and press a key"

I restarted it and it went to the original problem again

that setup utility is what you want & I would guess that either your hard drive is dying or windows is screwed up. is there any weird sounds coming from the laptop that was not there before this problem started?

Hello sorry for the late reply my net had some issues. Anyways since then I sent my laptop to a technician and he said that "the hdd itself was defective unable to read due to 0% health. " I have no idea what that means but he said that all my data in it is totally gone...and I have to buy a new one.

Anyways thanks a lot for your help Asian computer lover and especially ffg7 for the quick response! I truly appreciate the effort and help! If I have other problems I'll be sure to ask here again!

no problem. just finished replacing a customer's hard for the 3rd time since Christmas as I think the son is doing in the drives & slowly the laptop. family split up.
