Hi guys!
This is my first post..

I want to buy a new gaming laptop.... for school, im an architecture student and thats what i need to run the programs i know... i dont usually play games on my computer, if i do i play mainly WoW or something like that.

But since i need it for architecture, i need something that gives me a lot of performance and a great dedicated graphic card.

My to options are
ASUS ROG GL551JW-DS74 15.6-Inch IPS FHD Gaming Laptop, NVIDIA GTX960M

MSI GE62 2QD Apache - Intel Core i7-4720HQ a 2.6Ghz, 15.6" FHD, 16GB DDR3L, 1TB, GTX 960M con 2GB, DVD Writer, Windows 8.1SL,

I have read a lot of reviews that let me to think the asus is better because it says the MSI overheats to much... but i want your opinion on the topic...

Im confused because i know both laptops are very powerfull and are just what i need... i have about 1200 of budget...

Please i need some help to decide..

Thanks!

I'd debate that 😉 but yes here in particular for same basic price, the Asus has double the DRAM and includes a 128 SSD, no comparison. Would say the 965M is a slightly better GPU, but with both GPUs having 2 GB of DRAM they both will share some system DRAM and eat into the 8GB of the MSI, which can hinder things in memory intensive tasks and even gaming

hI Guys thank you for replying... my previous computer was a Samsung one and the reason i dont have it anymore its because i burn out the mother board (i think it was my brother fault... who used to played LOL on his bed)

i was also thinking about the Asus one, i think i would go with what i need, it has to be powerfull because i have to use Rhinoceros and Autocad and rendering programs that consume a lot of the memory of the graphic card...

So do you believe the Asus one will have what i need to run my programs.. for most of them i need a minium of 8 gb ram...

i mainly use Rhinoceros and Autocad
