Asus VS Msi

Hello there i hv a problem choosing between this two laptop which are

1) Asus ROG GL552JX
2) Msi GE70 2QD Apache

I kinda like the msi colourful keyboard but my friend said asus performance way better than msi.. can u guys help me

And if u guys know the pros and cons of these two gaming laptops pls state it too ..

Not a big fan of MSI, with the bigger screen though that's a consideration. With laptops I often hook up to an external screen, keyboard and mouse, and use them by themselves just in a remote type thing, so I'd go the Asus, good solid laptops

What does that mean? The same specs will give similar performance. There will be small variances, but shouldn't be anything significant.

Not a big fan of ASUS. MSI USUALLY (but not always) makes it easier to access all the innards to facilitate upgrading, cleaning, and repasting.

FWIW, Laptop Magazine rated MSI three spots above ASUS in their best and worst laptop brands article for 2015.

Also, ASUS customer/warranty service is notoriously abysmal.

ASUS does usually have better cooling than MSI, though. Don't know about the cooling on the MSI GE70, but the very latest generation of MSI models have improved cooling, on a level with ASUS now.

After looking at both laptops I think you should go for the Apache. As for specs they are really similar so that shouldn't be to big of a deal. The GE Series is known it's good quality and performance as well as being rather affordable. On the rainbow keyboard, I'm not sure if they will let you be able to customize the colors and patterns like some of their other models do. The larger screen size is a plus if you're into that. All in all I think the MSI Apache is the one to go for.

Yes, the three zones of the keyboard can be customized to whatever colors are preferred.
