Asus X200M will not run off battery

Asus X200M quit running on battey. Purchased new battery and installed it. New battery charged from 47% to 93% (according to computer). However, computer will not access the battery power. When unplugged from AC Adapter, it dies immediately. Will not boot or do anything from battery. If it is a bad battery, why is computer saying it is 93% charged?

Did you get a 3rd party cheap China made battery? If you did, it's likely a bad battery. Maybe an issue with the laptop also, the connection or charge circuit.
