Asus x555l keeps trying to update, but I have left it to update for up to 48 hours before having to reset the laptop as it won

How do I stop it from updating? I can’t go without using my laptop for more than 24 hours so it’s just not possible for me to update my laptop.

If you are using Windows 10, there is no real way to stop it from trying to update, unless you remove its internet access.

What kind of update is it trying to do?

Not sure, it just says a software update but if I leave it to update I am unable to use my laptop and not sure how long it would take/if it would ever actually finish updating. I have left it to update for 48 hours before and I just had to turn the laptop on and off a few times to get it to stop

Are you sure it is a Windows update?
