Well that's more data usage on ATT's network and ATT already cant handle just iphones, I give it 6 months before ATT's network self destructs.

It is very popular to say AT&T has bad signal coverage, but then again, as far as I understand the physics of it, electromagnetic radiation is not affected by the level of like or dislike for it.

If you discount those who have only ever had AT&T wireless service, those who have never had AT&T wireless service, and those who are in metropolitan or urban areas, where signal strength is very rarely a problem, you are not left with much input.

Maybe it's just me, but I have never seen a single comment where someone said, "I had AT&T service and when I switched to Verizon..." (or vice versa).

I've read some pretty nifty things about WP7 but the lack of copy paste (found on older versions of WinMo) and multitasking will hurt it pretty bad I think. I use the copy paste function a good bit with my touch pro. We'll all see how it works in the real world soon enough though.

[citation][nom]captaincharisma[/nom]i wonder if it will be as slow as winmo 6[/citation]

I doubt it. It is all "new". Not even based on WM 6.5. Its kinda like 7 for the phone.

As for AT&T..... not too sure Mr. Jobs will enjoy AT&T stepping out on him with MS.

[citation][nom]IM0001[/nom]Last I checked, Sprint/Verizon are getting the World Phone version of the HTC Handsets, so in other words it can work on both CDMA and GSM signals (Plus Sprint will also have 4G). AT&T may say they are the premiere partner, but of course they will gimp the phone into oblivion with the inability to download apps/music/video over their 3G. Never mind their crappy service in general. And all you WP7 Haters before it's out... We all mocked the G1 when it was out with its crashes, limited apps, etc, and now it has taken off. Well WP7 more than likely will follow and surpass everyone in due time. Microsoft wants this and I believe they will pull it off.[/citation]

ANd by the time WM7 is out VZW will have 4G too. SO unless AT&T plans to throw 4G together the at the last minute um....... Yea.

The reason people bash AT&T's service is because they are tired of being asked "can I borrow your phone mine doesn't have service" by their friends with AT&T.

Microsoft's entries into the mobile phone biz has been epic FAIL with it two previous entries and tying their future success onto ATT makes me think this won't be that much different.

I have never had to ask to use someone elses phone because of poor signal strength with my ATT phone. I have had people borrow my iPhone with ATT service here at work because they didnt want to go outside to use their Verizon, Sprint or TMobile phones. But please, dont let my positive experiences with ATT stop you from blindly bashing them.

I agree. Before I got my iPhone 3G 2 years ago I was using the ATT 8525 made by HTC with WinMo 6.5. It was either the original ATT(HTC) Tilt(Not the Tilt2 mind you) with WinMo 6.5 for $399 or the iPhone 3G for $199. Those options made buying my first Apple product ever very easy. I was going to hold out on buying another new phone until 7 came out but from what Ive read there didnt seem to be any real reason to wait.
