Hello! I recently heard that you're supposed to let your mic "warm up." Assuming this means turning on phantom power and leaving the mic unused for like 30 minutes, is this necessary? Will my hardware get damaged if I don't do this? Also, will leaving phantom power on for an extended period of time cause hardware issues? Thanks.

Update: I have Noise Gate, and Compression turned on and slightly adjusted, and I'm getting bursts of white noise. I have an MSI Gaming 5 motherboard and I'm wondering which USB port I should put it in because there's USB 2.0, USB 3.0, and USB Audio Power Ports and I'm pretty confused.

So essentially, this sums up my post for clarity.

■ I'm using compression, noise gate, american classic, and a power amp in the Pod Farm application that comes with the Line 6 UX2 Audio interface. When I speak, the noise gate opens up and there is some white noise in the background. How do I adjust this to silence background audio whilst I'm speaking?

■I'm utilizing an MSI Gaming 5 motherboard and there are ports for USB 2.0, 3.0 and USB Audio power ports. Which one works best with the UX2?

■The Mic Setup that I use comes from a youtube named GaLm who has the same setup. This is the link he gave me which sets everything up in the Pod Farm program. Link: http://www.mediafire.com/download/dew009e0ep7pm3e/GaLm+Mic.l6t

■I have tweaked it many times, and changed the position of the mic. I would appreciate any help. Thanks for reading this.
