ATH-A900X vs A500X/700X questions

Hello everyone,

So, our cat recently bit through my SteelSeries Siberia V2 headset cable (rip, headset, you went before your time ), which is forcing me to move my scheduling for buying new audio up quite a bit.

I've pretty much settled on Audio-Technica's ATH-A-series (with a ModMic 4.0), but I'm still not sure which model to get. Currently, the A900X is my top choice, but I was wondering if I could get some clarification on the differences between the different models. Most specifically, how does the A900X compare to the A700X sound-wise, and is the 500X that different than either of the two higher-end models?

Thanks in advance for your help, I know audio questions can be difficult to answer since everyone has different tastes, but I really appreciate the help!

Bump, I could really use some help with this. Also, I should note that I am open to other suggestions, as well. So far, nothing has beat the A900x's in my mind, but you might know something I don't!
