Athlon 1.4 already unlocked by AMD manufacturer..?

Dear all,

Today I just purchased the AMD Athlon 1.4ghz processor, when I ask the technician to unlock the processor for me, he told me that the processor is unlocked already... by manufacturer... when I look at the processor, the L1 is there, nothing changed...
So just courious about... should I unlock again the processor myself for overclock or just believe that technician...? Did anyone have idea about this...?

If the L1 bridges are connected, it means it is unlocked and you don't need to do anything.

All 1.4ghz cpu's should come unlocked, but I believe some didnt for some reason I cant remember. Whats the code on the core?
