Athlon II p320 not enough for most games?

Can this be safely overclocked to run call of duty 4? The game calls for minimun 1.8 ghz dual core or better. I ran a system check and it says my system will n ot run the game.

I bought a Toshiba L675. came with the Athlon P320 chip 2.1 ghz dual core. My budget was $800. I think its a good buy, but some of the new games can not run on it.
