Atom vs Core i7 for 3d rendering

For the last year, I have been working with an Asus Transformer Book T100TAF with 2 GiB of RAM and an Intel Atom Z3735F. I have been doing some light 3d rendering in Blender with this laptop, and it's been working pretty well. I'll design a model, get the camera where I want it, push the render button, get myself something to eat, come back, and the render will be done. However, I've recently saved up enough money to get a Dell XPS 15 9550 with an Intel Core i7 6700HQ and 8 GiB of RAM. Before buying it, I'd like to know how it will perform in relation to my current laptop. Regardless of the answer, I'll still probably buy it, as I'm getting super tired of having to store all my data on a bunch of 16 GiB flash drives. Also, my current screen is cracked, so I'm going to get a new laptop anyway. I couldn't find any specific comparisons on the internet, which is why I created this thread. If you look at the passmark scores for the two processors:
Atom Z3735F -- https/www.cpubenchmark.net/cpu.php?cpu=Intel+Atom+Z3735F+%40+1.33GHz
i7-6700HQ -- https/www.cpubenchmark.net/cpu.php?cpu=Intel+Core+i7-6700HQ+%40+2.60GHz
You see that the i7 is about 5X on single thread tasks and 8X faster in multi-threaded. Between the 8X memory and the 8X CPU improvement, you should see an 8X throughput improvement in rendering.

I have a Transformer T100T, and also a regular desktop. i5-3570k, 16GB RAM, etc, etc.

There is no comparison.

Typing this on my Transformer T100TA, and it's more like a tricycle versus a light jet aircraft. It's a pretty big difference between it and the old Athlon II boxes I have lying around, let alone an i7.

250 frame animation - 12 min 55 sec
