audio changing automatically from hdmi to pc

hi,
im having trouble with my Toshiba Statellite laptop for the last couple of day. after unplugging my hdmi cable from my tv and laptop the audio is still set to the tv, is there anyway from setting it up to change automatically from one to the other?? it used to do it

I am guessing you are using windows 7? To change the audio output device right click on the speaker icon in the bottom right taskbar. Then click "Playback Devices." Click on your computer speaker and press set default. If it is still reocurring please tell me what it says under the playback device window under your HDMI output. Does it recognize that it is not plugged in?

Yes, it is running windows 7. When I went into playback device it shows the laptops speakers and my TV and underneath my tv, it says not plugged in. When the hdmi cable is plugged in it say my tv is ready, I go to play a videos it shows up on my tv but the audio is still playing through the laptop.
Any ideas??
