Audio out not working

So I got new RCA tv and I get the audio out to work. need help please

On many TVs you have to turn the audio output on, the TV speakers off, and change the audio output type in the TV menu. Depends on the TV and what you are connecting the TV to. On surround sound receivers you may have to assign the audio connection to an input.
All in the owners manuals which we can't check because we don't know the model of the TV.
