In order for me to switch sound back and forth between my headphones and speakers, I need to go into windows playback devices and set either my speakers or headphones to default device. Now I am finding this process to be very tedious and would like to buy a audio switch where i plug in my headphones and speakers into and then push a button to go back and forth. Now there is a slight issue. I have hyperx cloud 2's and these speakers run on USB. In order to even use the functionalty pf the driver and the audio bosster i would need to have them run on usb. Is there an audio switch that lets me plug in my headphones and my speakers, and allows me to switch back and forth while still keeping the functionality of my headphones.

Or are there other methods?

Thank you!

3.5mm and usb at the same time? nope. if you were not using the hxc soundcard then it would be 3.5mm and any A/B 3.5mm switch would work.

perhaps a better idea would be using autohotkey (or similar software) to create a key combination which changes default audio device. perhaps like shift+f5 (or of your choosing) to do this instead of needing to navigate the menus. you can find some info on the web but here is one such (older) tidbit http://afteralpha.blogspot.com/2013/03/switch-audio-devices-easily-with.html
