Hey guys. Haven't been on much, but I ran into an issue. I just finished building my dad's computer when my mic shipped in. Went upstairs and hooked it up to my computer via USB. At first, I got nothing but static. I configured the device, and got some feedback. However, after I stopped recording, Audacity wouldn't recognize the device. I went to my hardware on the control panel, and found that it said the descriptor had an error (43). I used another cable, and still had the issue. Then, I tried using it on a direct USB connection from the Mobo's I/O. Still no luck. I tried using this on another computer, and I'm having the same issue. All help will be greatly appreciated.

Solution
would this happen be be windows 8.1 on both devices? error 43 seems to be quite prevalent on 8.1.

can you try on a windows 8 or previous version?
I tried on one computer which is a windows 8. The other is 8.1 Both had the issues, but I went out and bought a new cable, seemed to solve it. Im now having the issue of a static humming in my recordings, so I'll contact audio technica. All help and opinions are appreciated as well. Thanks.
