Audio through direct tv

I am trying to get audio through my panasonic 5 disc changer from my direct tv. We can get the dvds to play in stereo but not the direct tv. Can you help?

The Panasonic is model sa pt760 and i have direct tv little box the main receiver is connected to a tv in a different room. We can only vet the DVD player in stereo. Direct tv or the Wii do not play in stereo.

OK, this "DirectTV little box' - what does it have? Are there any other connections apart from TV? If none - what is your TV model, may be you can connect it to your Panasonic to get sound.
