I don't like the screen. Try setting the contrast to the maximum
setting. If you want a loud ringer, you may also wish to look elsewhere.
I can't think of any major losses for you here against the A460,
except moving from a flip to a candybar.
Robert M. has recently posted a link providing some background info on
the Curitel/Audiovox brand maintainance they're working on. Google or
look elsewhere in the forum, and I'm sure you'll find it. I've had an
Audiovox in the past, they have been good phones, but they are very,
very basic.
I've had my greasy paws on the VI600 for a couple of hours, but for the
best reviews, check some websites. My personal favorite is Sprintusers.com.

Audiovox has dome pretty well in the past, the 9100 and 9155 both did
extremely well, and the 8460 / VI600 is doing very well.

You didn't mind going from a flip phone to a candybar? Most of my
customers would have been irate at that.

I prefer the flip phone with an external caller ID, They didnt have any in
stock and this is a warranty replacemant. They are "trying" to find a better
replacement. I guess we'll see what they come up with.

heck, that sounds like a former ComputerCity salesperson, giving a non
answer to a legitimate question"

"is this Ricoh LED printer as good as a Laser"?

"Well, we sell a lot of them".

The volume of sales says Zero, nada, zip about the functionality of the
phone.

That is not what I meant and you know that. I don't care how many of
each handset is sold, I go solely by what I see coming into my tech
rooms with issues, how often, and what the issues are.

I don't see many of the AudioVox phones coming in, so they're doing
pretty well.
