Question aus tuf fx 505 (problem at upgrading ram)

my lp is already 4g ram. so i want to upgrade my ram. i bought ram 8gb 2666mhz , then i upgraded it by myself. after placing ram into another slot (which is next to current ram), it still 4gb after i start my lp. what is my problem?? ..thank you... btw i bought brand kingston

Did you try replacing the exiting memory to make sure it works in the system? Does the BIOS show the correct amount? Did you maybe install 32 bit Windows?
