AV Receiver Overload

Have an old receiver and got overload message. No sound at all. So replaced the receiver and still no sound. Is it the speakers? No nothing about electronics.

Thanks for replying. The speakers are KLH and very old. I actually just got the system working. Disconnected the speakers and reconnected. Guess the connection was not tight.
