Avast slows my internet

So i just moved from my old place to my new place. At my old place i had 20MBPS for internet, and avast turned on. Avast didn't affect my connection at all.
Now at my new place with 65MBPS for internet, whenever i have turned avast on, i only have like 6 MBPS but mostly 1-2 MBPS. When i turn it off, i have about 65-68 MBPS.
So i just wanted to ask you guys, if you know what to do?

No but it sounds like avast is doin a real time scan mabey there is a setting called something like that you could turn off

I've been running avast for years and have never encountered that problem. I suggest you try reinstalling avast. Be sure to uninstall the current version first. Also, newer versions of avast have some cloud features. You may want to try disabling those and see if it helps.

I found out what the problem were. It was one of the shields, which i have to deactivate permanently.

Interesting, that is one of the options I left out during the custom install on my work computer since our network/firewalls already do that work. I'll have to check my home computer later, but I do believe I have web shield installed and running at home with no problems.
