Backdoor password acer extensa 5235

i brought laptop 4 months ago my girl friend locked it with a hdd password and forgot the password how do i bypass it or recover it? its a acer extensa 5235 series on windows 7, please help we need the photos off it dont wont to lose the

You could try to take it out, connect the drive to another computer, and see if you can access the drive.

however it is more likely that the drive is encrypted and only accessible with the password and will not have a workaround.
