Hi, I'm on Windows 7 64-bit and am interested in backing up my CPU from catastrophic failures. It seems to come down to either Norton Ghost 15 or Acronis True Image 2013, both of which have abysmal reviews on Amazon.com. Are either of these programs reliable enough to purchase? Is there another way I should be looking at? Appreciate any guidance.

I have used acronis true image 2006, 2009, and 2012 and have had great results with all of them. I will say that I never use their "secure zone" as I don't like 3rd party programs messing with my partition tables as it usually causes problems down the road. I use the scheduled backups and use the recovery disk for restores.

TI 2013 is still relatively new. I can't say how it is, but should stabalize after an update or two.

Dear ARNK,

Kindly I ask your attention.

Try here:

Acronis is very good too.

Look for one with a Live CD ISO, it comes with the program. You have to burn it with the system you use, this for drivers and stuff like that.

Hopefully I let you know enough and that you will find the answers you seek!

Good luck and have fun doing it!

Best Regards
