Bad Inverter, Backlight, or bad/lose wiring?

Hello Everybody,

I have this HP G60-243CL and i need to know what i should replace. The Inverter, or the whole LCD Panel.


1) The screen became dark, you can see an image but it is extremly diffcult to see.

2)I took the computer apart and layed the LCD flat on the table. The backlgiht came back up and if i don't move it, it stays on. However, once i move it, it turns back off.

Is this just lose or bad wiring going to the backlight or inverter or what do you guys think? Right now i have the LCD flat and the backlight works.

If you have checked the connectors and they are in good then go ahead and order a replacement lcd cable first.

Cheapest item to buy so you dont throw your money away diagnosing the issue.

If that does not work then you will need replacement screen
