Battery consumption gtx960m vs gtx970m

Hello there, should a laptop with GTX960M use less battery comparing to GTX970M? Assuming it's the same laptop model (except that gpu) ?

Yeah it will use less, since the 960m has a power consumption of approximately 60W while the 970m has a consumption of 81W.

Odd question. In games yes the 970m should use more watts but will also perform a lot better. When the GPU is not needed though there would be no difference as the laptop would switch to the iGPU which is the same in your example.
