Make sure cable is plugged in all the way on both ends. My daughter had same problem. Found the jack was not all the way in on earphone end.

I had the same problem in my new set as well. My plug had come out just a little bit. I pushed it in a little bit and it worked.

I had the cable plug in the wrong way round. The piece that was in the phone should have been in headphones and vice versa

they are clearly defective. I ordered mine from Amazon, told them the only way I could get stero sound was to press down on the button on the chord. They are sending me a new pair. Obviously not their first complaint. Good luck!

I'm having the exact same problem. The jack is in all the way at both ends (had this issue before and that was the problem however not in this case). Whichever cup the cord is plugged into is the one that works, I've tried different devices and still the same issue. Tried swapping ends, forcing the jack in and still no luck 🙁

I've had them (beats pro's) for about 2-3 years now so maybe they're just deciding to break which is extremely annoying considering how expensive they are.

what if im on a phone?

First of all, you need to make sure that the straight plug is plugged into the headphones and the right angled plug is plugged into the audio source (eg phone, iPod)
If this doesn't work, slightly unplug the wire from the headphones. This is how I fixed mine.

If you want to fix your problem switch around the way you plugged the cored in theres a good chance you just did it backwards

LOSS OF AUDIO ON ONE SIDE OR DISTORTED SOUND

If you’re experiencing snapping, crackling, popping, or no audio on one side, try this:
1.Make sure the 3.5mm audio jack is fully plugged in. •The L-shaped input connects to your audio device.
•The straight input must be completely inserted into your headset.

2.Check that your audio source is on and working.
3.If your audio source is a computer or laptop, try adjusting the configuration settings.
4.If problems persist, try a different audio source or an alternate cable.

I have a pair of Dr Dre Solo 2's still under warranty. I plugged them into my iPad after several months in a drawer and had no sound from the earcup that has no cable. I rang the apple line 0800 1076285 they after checking serial numbers etc said have you tried resetting them. Nothing in the manual or online, but if you press and hold the beats logo on the side effected an press the volume button at the same time this works. Well it worked for me, so don't go to You Tube and get a screwdriver out yet try this first.
Back listening in full stereo : )

I only had one in the box it came in

The wire connected to the other is broken. I found that the space where the wire are placed has a sharp edge causing the wire to cut when folding the headphone when not in use. Replace the wire by using an old earphone wire ( 3 wire cable same size) take note on the color it has green red and yellow. Yellow is the common ground.

I got beats solo 2 from the Apple Store, went to try them for the first time and it only worked on one side. I plugged the wrong end of the cord into my phone. Make sure the "L" shape end of the cord is in your phone (or whatever device you're using).

this is epic!!! been searching for great solution and this works perfect!!!

#justunbelievable :)

thankss

Thanks! this was the solution. I Think i was going to have a heart attack!

See my headphones will work to my mom and guardians phone ,but when I plug it to my phone it won't work ....it only works when am on the setting and when am on the phone with someone. I really won't it to work to YouTube... Is it anything that I need to check an my setting ❓❔

The problem is you have the cords in backwards the L shape goes into your device and the straight piece goes into the head phones!

hey i know this feed is pretty old but it might be just a stupid mistake - like mine. try switching whats plugged in where. it seems so obvious now...haha. but for real, this is probabaly the problem.
