I'm looking for a good DI splitter for bass (1 line into avalon 737 the
other to stereo fx + stereo preamp or amp). Is this a decent choice? It's
cheap so I am a little suspect. Someone here once mentioned a Jonathon
Little, but I can't find a vendor that sells it or a website? Any help
appreciated.

Thanks,

We have 3 DI100's and they've never left us down. But this 120 seems
pretty nifty.

However, for what you're doing, you've got a pair of high impedance
units you're going into, and if you're on a budget, I see no reason to
rule out good old parallel connection. A simple 1/4" Y cable may do
all you want unless the the AValon and the fx unit need a balanced
input. This would be especially true if your bass is active.

Best Regards,

737's have high and low inputs.

I have some behringer di's and they work fine for me but I never had to
use one on my 737's.

Here you go:

http://www.mercenary.com/littlelabs.html

PCP Instrument Distro, only $1050. A little more than a Behringer
direct box, I'm afraid.

You might want to take advantage of the Avalong 737 and split its
output (you can use an simple Y cable at the output level and
impedance) off to "reamp" box which will look like a guitar to an amp
or stomp box. There's the genuine Reamp, and Radial has one, which is
also a buffered splitter, so you could use it to feed the Avalong if
that sounds better to you.

You already have an excellent DI: the Avalon 737. Split its output to
the FX and amp.

The Behringer DI20 is not bad, for the price. To use it between your
bass and the Avalon 737 would be like filtering your Champagne through
an old sock. Believe me, it won't make it better!
