Been doing some research and coming here as a final sanity check, thanks for replies in advance..
Background:
Basically I travel a little for work and also have a newborn, so I can't be in front of my desktop PC when I can play games (don't move a happy baby). My main games right now are blacklist and ffxiv, but I will definitely be playing ESO and a few other titles down the road...
Wanting something fast that will play all modern games in *high* settings and is reliable. The two things I am willing to compromise on are hard drive (have a 256gb ssd laptop drive to put in there already), and battery life as I am usually close to an outlet.
The best bang for the buck I have found so far is on powernotebooks..
Sager NP8265 Sale Special
15.6" Full HD (1920x1080) 95% NTSC Matte LCD
AMD HD 8970M w/4GB GDDR5
4th Gen "Haswell" Intel Core i7 CPU (4700)
16GB RAM
750GB hard drive
Was $1,739 - Now $1,499 - Save $240
My main question is that I have never had a Sager laptop, but I am reading good reviews here for the most parts, are there any gotchas in this build or something else I should go back and look at?
Also are there places out there I missed or brands that would be worth taking a look at that are a better bang for the buck for gaming?
