Sup guys. Kinda new/old here (i always check this site to get some info but this is my first time posting).

Here is my predicament: My boss is looking into getting the whole company Macbook Pros (125+ people) as their main laptop. I DO NOT want this to happen. They are going to be alot harder to support since our whole infrastructure is currently windows based.

This is what I ask of this great community:

I need 2-3 laptops that can challenge the Macbook Pro on build, guts, and overall style. Basically the laptop needs to just look great and aesthetically pleasing like the MBP, gotta have equal or better specs, and it would be bonus points if there is a docking station you can buy for it (not one of those usb hub thingies, I hate those, an actual Docking station. users are now in cubes so there is limited real estate).

Please. Someone save me! I have faith in this great community lol.

I kinda like Lenovo in general, actual I like IBM, but they sold their desktop and laptop division to Lenovo so they can focus on enterprise solutions back in 2005 / 2006. Lenovo business oriented laptops may not look flashy like a MBA / MBP (a plus for me), but they get the job done, you deal with corporate level tech support instead of the typical consumer level tech support and they rugged. The T series have been known for it's ruggedness ever since IBM first brought them on the market; they are made to survive a 30MPH direct impact. Oh yeah they come in a variety of colors as long as you choose black.

Here are my suggestions and with reviews, the 2014 ThinkPad X1 Carbon was just recently released so no real detailed review yet.

2014 Lenovo X1 Carbon, no option to customize yet though.

The above mentioned ThinkPad Yoga.

ThinkPad T series, specifically the 14" T440s.

The carbon is alright, although the reviews I've seen don't make the battery seem to great. The T440p, on the other hand, can net you 15 hours of battery life with the extended battery without resorting to using low-performance low voltage CPUs.

my boss wont bite on these, we have some t430s and they simply dont look as good as the MBP. lenovo guts are great but if you told someone pick a laptop between those and a macbook pro based on looks, macbook is going to win everytime.

i use a t430s myself and i love it. the issue im running into is convincing someone to buy another laptop over the MBP, kinda hard seeing as how its a apple product

I don't know of any "stylish" business laptops. I personally like the monolithic look of ThinkPads.....

I was going to suggest the Sony Flip 13 hybrid laptop, but people complain about the fan noise...

Threaten to deny tech support to all individuals (including your boss) not using a Windows 7 / 8 laptop?

guess i might be stuck showing the lenovo. does ASUS not have anything with a docking station that can compete against the MBP?

If not the Ativ Book, try and show him the T440s. It's using the ultra-low voltage processor, but it's an ultrabook, and beats out the MBP in battery life. ThinkPads have superior keyboards and, all in all, they're built as business machines. It's what they're designed for. Who mass-buys MacBooks for business? What sort of company is this, out of curiosity?

Why not also take a look at HP's ProBook 400 series? They're designed as business laptops, and the style is just straight-up copied from the MacBook.

Supplements as in the ones with ads featuring near-naked beefcakes that yell at everyone to GET RIPPED!!! And then flex menacingly?

That's way better marketing than 'GET RIPPPPPEEEEEEEEEDDDDDDD!!!'

So, what system do you think looks best at this point?
