Best device for Netflix and local playback

I'm looking for a not too expensive set top box that supports Netflix, but also allows for local playback of (mainly) mkv and flac files.

I'm currently using an Xtreamer, so it's important that the local playback is good, so that I can substitute (and sell) my Xtreamer.

Connect a PC/Laptop to a TV with hdmi....as it is free...
