IMHO, this is the lowest you can spend in order to call it a gaming laptop. I'm not sure if you can source a laptop from USA courtesy of a relative but with the way the offers/discounts are, they are gone within hours of being posted.
One more thing, etc, does not encompass all games since each game has a different game engine/mechanics.

Used models OK with you? A used system like above with a 1050 video card or maybe even a 1050 Ti may be available for $500 and would be OK for many games at medium settings at 1080.
With that budget, even in the US (where prices are cheaper), you will only get a used unit. Hopefully, you understand this. Therefore, your goal is to look through used models and to aim for at least a 7th gen, MX GPU, 8GB RAM, 250GB+ storage.
