I want a powerful laptop with at least an Intel i7-6700HQ processor.

For graphics, I'd like a good dedicated graphics card, preferably a Nvidia.

I multi-task a lot so 8GB+ of pretty fast memory is required.

The display has to be nice, bright, and sharp, and I want nothing less than 1920x1080. I would like a QHD screen if possible though.

I want a back-lit keyboard, but I don't care about the touch pad, I use a mouse.

The OS should be Windows 10.

Also, as an added bonus, if possible, I'd like a laptop I can easily customize by myself.

I will not be gaming much, but I will be doing a lot of other graphically intensive things like developing games, editing, etc.

Thanks in advance!
:) :) :) :)

Asus ROG 751 with an i7 4720, 16gb of ram and 980m is one of the most powerful and fastest laptops for $1629 on newegg. It's a very good gaming laptop, but if you don't game, it will do well in intensive apps, too.

4th gen i7 vs 6th gen i7 is a very small difference in efficiency. 980m for this price point, however, is huge for your graphically-intensive apps. Very bright 1080p screen, too. You're not getting 4k for that price. I have it and it's a beast and all the reviews have it at the top of the class.

Thanks for the reply, I looked at the ROG series and I kind of like the GL552VW-DH74.

I can't find the 751 on the official Asus website, could you post a link?

Also, between the GL552VW-DH74 and the G751, which is better?

751 is way more powerful. 552 has a slower gpu. Link to the laptop on newegg is in my post above.

Here's a link on Asus site.

When you buy it on newegg, don't forget to choose the 980m or at least the 970..

That MSI laptop will be significantly slower than the Asus and will undoubtedly run louder and hotter (ROG laptops have amazing cooling systems), but you do save $400 for the 960m and $75 for the 970m version... I'm just saying though, a 980m is probably at least 50% faster than the 960m, and about 30% faster than the 970m.. The 6th gen i7 won't offset that.. if you're going to program games and run graphically-intensive apps, wouldn't you want the fastest gpu and the fastest laptop for the money period?
