Hi my sister is looking for a laptop for under $500 on newegg used for a little bit of gaming and watching movies and browsing the web what would be the best?

At NewEgg there aren't many choices for laptops under $500 that can also play 3D games well. Here are the best options:
Laptops @ NewEgg under $500 with HD 4250 graphics
The best graphics option available is the HD 4250. The V Series V140(2.3GHz) CPU in the Toshiba models is a weak CPU and would have a negative impact on gaming performance. The Acer with Athlon II Dual-Core P340 2.2Ghz CPU, 3GB RAM 1366x768 LCD with HD 4250 graphics is probably the best option. But it's a weak gaming platform. Think Call of Duty 4 @ low graphics settings.

A better option is the HP G62t @ $500.
A more powerful Pentium P6100 2.00 GHz CPU, 4GB RAM, 1366x768 LCD with a HD 5470 graphics upgrade. Think CoD 4 @ medium graphics settings and CoD:MW2 @ low graphics settings.

Comparison of the HD 4250/HD 5470/HD 5650

I can only buy from newegg as I am buying a PC and shipping it to South Africa (where I live) and im using myUS to transport it here its $240 transport for 10 kgs im hoping my PC+my sisters laptop will be under 10kgs

Here are some examples of shipping weights found on the TigerDirect website. (see the bottom of the webpages)

Basic gaming PC:
iBUYPOWER GAMER POWER 630D2 Gaming Desktop PC $600 Shipping Weight: 27.5 pounds / Dimensional Weight: 31 pounds
http://www.tigerdirect.com/applications/SearchTools/item-details.asp?EdpNo=6281457&CatId=4928

Basic laptop:
Acer Aspire AS5742Z-4601 laptop $500 Shipping Weight: 8.0000 pounds
http://www.tigerdirect.com/applications/SearchTools/item-details.asp?EdpNo=6671685&CatId=2510

That's 15.9 kg for both. More if they charge Dimensional weight for the big PC box.

im not getting a case for my PC im just ordering components and a monitor, are there any other shipping companies that you can suggest that ship to SA? I was going to buy from amazon and they ship here so it was all going to be fine but its not allowed...

You might sneak in under your weight goal without a case. Think about getting a Power Supply locally as well. Those are the two heaviest items.
One case I looked at was 10lbs shipping and a standard PSU was was 5 lbs.

You can use that TigerDirect site to estimate prices for your parts if you can find them, or a similar item. I know there will be some extra packaging for the retail parts besides the shipping weights.

The only other trans-shipper I knew about is out of business now.
