Best Laptop for Under $500

Hello,
I am on the market for a laptop for the kids for Christmas and I am looking to spend no more than $500.

As per Buyers Guide
Budget - Less than $500
Size - 15.6"
Screen Resolution - Don't Know
Portable
Battery Life - Not really and issue 1-2 hours would be great.
Tasks - Internet use(You Tube), games such as minecraft, skype
500 GB HDD would be completely sufficient
I would love to have this laptop functional for 4-5 years

Those are the last laptops you should go for under $500 price tag. Nowdays you can easily get a core i5 or AMD A8 quadcore processor in that price.

If you are a AMD fan go for Acer V3 which got A8-4500M processor running at 1.9 GHz with 4 MB Cache
AMD Radeon HD 7640G Graphics packing 512MB of graphics system memory
4 GB DDR3 RAM.
500 GB 5400 rpm Hard Drive

All this for $429.
