Hi there people!

Let's fire away. I need a decent laptop, with of course some prerequisites.
Since I'm starting a new IT study there are some recommendations given, but I simply need something better, so here are my prerequisites:

1. What is your budget?
- I want to spend around $2000 or €1500, depending on the area of purchase.

2. What is the size of the notebook that you are considering?
- Not any smaller than 14" but no bigger than 18", it should fit in a bag at least.

3. What screen resolution do you want?
- 2K to 4K, it's not really important.

4. Do you need a portable or desktop replacement laptop?
- If one or another, I'd appreciate portability over performance.

5. How much battery life do you need?
- Doesn't really bother me, but around two/three hours would be pleasant.

6. Do you want to play games with your laptop?
- Yes, at the moment my desktop pc has an ATI/AMD HD Radeon 7870, but I'd like to go with Nvidia's GeForce GTX 700 or 800 series.

7. What other tasks do you want to do with your laptop? (Photo/Video editing, Etc.)
- I will be primarily using disassemblers and IDEs, meaning processing power goes over graphics power.

8. How much storage (Hard Drive capacity) do you need?
- Either an SSD with 256GB or
- An HDD from 750GB along with an SSD with at least 128GB.

10. How long do you want to keep your laptop?
- At least four years.

11. What kind of Optical drive do you need? DVD ROM/Writer,Blue-ray ROM/Writer,Etc ?
- Is not important

12. Please tell us about the brands that you prefer to buy from them and the brands that you don't like and explain the reasons.
- I have experienced many problems with Hewlett-Packerd. Mostly I would like a brand that's focused on one thing instead of developing printers, desktop pcs, monitors, etc etc.
- MSI seemed nice to me though.

13. What country do you live in?
- Unfortunately, the Netherlands. But importing something is fine by me.

14. Please tell us any additional information if needed.
- It should contain at least 8GB RAM
- It should contain at least an Intel i7-4K processor
- It's weight should be 2,5kg (4,5lbs) or less
- I was thinking of buying the MSI GS60 2PE Ghost Pro. It's size is decent and it's performance is of a beast.

I hope other people have some ideas of this year's best (affordable) notebooks!:D
