BEST PC HARDWARE FOR AUDIO APPLICATIONS!!

Hello, could anyone tell me which hardware specs are best for rock solid audio Core PC ,.. just for audio applications,.. mastering editing ,recording in Daw,.. (cubase 4,Logic ,Sonar ,..in this case Cubase LE4)

i am buying new PC strictly for audio apps...

Please help me out:
which MOTHERBOARD.....my configuration :gigabyte GA-X48-DS5,
which PROCCESOR? ....my configuration :intel quad or dual core
which RAM?......my configuration :Mushkin PC2-8500 "Extreme" KIT 4096 MB
which GRAPHICS?...my configuration: nvidia geforce 9600
how many power?? 500w??muschkin 500 w
monitor: samsung 20 lcd


i will record trough firewire audio interface PRESONUS FIRESTUDIO PROJECT firewire in (400 mbs port only!!!) and i have already BELKIN 1394 adapter with texas instruments chipset(TI), it must be TI chipset ,any other chipset VIA, SIS are making pops,cracks and freezeing

i heard for audio apps, the intel cores are best have for rock solid system,.. so motherboard MUST have Intel chipsets Intel P45/ICH10R, Socket 775 LGA,.any other sugestions??

• CPU/Clock: PowerPC G4/Dual 1 GHZ or faster, all Intel-based Mac models.
• Memory(RAM): 512 MB (1 GB recommended)


I use Gigabytes for something else but for specific use like audio recording I would recommend Intel board. It’s not because of the hardware; it’s because of the drivers’ compatibility.

A Pentium Dual Core E2180 Processor and 3 gig of ram is more than enough, even an integrated video is enough for its uses. I would suggest that you save those extra cash you save from other hardware get yourself a better sound card and monitor speakers; you’ll need it when you start editing the music you recorded.

hello rexter you know what i am returning Firestudio to local store cause it have internal malfunction of out of sync,... i tried everything specially on macbook pro -mac are rock solid computers ,.i have installed latest logic update and software update, so my nerves are down, and i am pissed off of this device problems,..thank you anyway,probably i will stick with USB2.0 NI Audio control interface,rock solid drivers and german technology

yes i will buy RME firewire 400 interface, the best interface out there with best drivers support ,nothing comes close, nothing, what goes for 800 eur

rexter again thank you for your help, i already have alesis mk2 active speakers they are low budget but i am satisfied with the pair, they are good solid speakers, i will stick wih amd configuration, next year maybe i will invest in new pc,...probbably i will stick with my apple macbook pro (2 years old) and logic 8,..
