best tablet for $200 or less on amazon

Trying to figure out what would be the best tablet for under $200 for me to purchase from Amazon

Im guessing, based off the price, you are looking at an android tablet?

If you can spare $5 more, you could get a Nexus 7 16GB right now. That would be the best tablet in that price range that i can think of. Based off my experience with my 32GB version, I can say that the Nexus 7 2013 is smooth, responsive and all round brilliant. The screen is 1200p, and it is really easy to read text on.

I already suggested it once, but i will say it again.

The 2013 Nexus 7 16GB is currently $192 on Amazon, and it is still the best deal, providing the highest screen resolution out of all the tablets mentioned on this thread, and packing a more powerful processor.

ASUS are a reputable brand, unlike some others, such as ProntoTec, Chromo or Shamo, which were suggested by ron ellis.

Samsung tablets have reasonable specs, but for their cost, they lack in other features like high screen resolution which are provided by multiple alternatives.

The Nexus devices also receive OS updates before all other android devices.
